How much do classes cost? The Ballet Press class fees vary depending on the combination of classes that you would like to take and the level that you will need to take. Your level is determined by a combination of your age and your past experience with ballet. The cost for your classes will be discussed with you when you express your interest in joining us. As a guide, group classes are charged at around $10 / €8 / £7 per person per hour. Students with less experience will have shorter classes than more advanced students in both ballet and PBT. Private lesson fees can be discussed on request.

What do I need for my class?Technology: You will need a stable internet connection and access to Zoom to take the classes. Your device should have a camera so that our teachers can see you to make corrections. Space: You will need enough space to lift your leg off the floor without hitting anything! And enough space to do a little bit of moving from side to side. Two by two meters would be the minimum requirement. A bit more would be preferred. You might need to use something as a barre, depending on your level. This might be the back of a chair or a kitchen counter, but should ideally be hip to waist height. Clothing: For your first few classes you will need to wear comfortable exercise clothing; ideally leggings/shorts, a comfortable t-shirt and socks. Once you decide to continue your classes, we will discuss the appropriate ballet clothing for your level and age! Props: If you are taking PBT classes, you will need to be able to use some props. The following are the most common props we will use: A large exercise/Pilates ball A small exercise ball (or a football/soccer ball as a substitute) A long, light strength theraband

How many people will be in my class? The Ballet Press teachers are happy to offer either private or group lessons, wherever these are possibilities. External factors (such as time, availability, other students learning at the same level) will influence our ability to offer your preference. These are things that can be discussed when you first contact us!

What other activities and events does The Ballet Press offer? In its first year, The Ballet Press created a Winter Holiday performance, filmed over Zoom and compiled into a finished video for family and friends to enjoy. Our first summer also saw us host a four-day intensive course for some of our vocational level students, who were able to work on their conditioning, variation and choreographic skills alongside daily class. In our forthcoming year, we are looking forward to branching out into offering adult class options.
